MEDICAL ASSIST ACCESS


The following benefits are on an access only basis. These services include:

  • Emergency telephonic advice and information - 24 hours, seven days a week
  • Referrals to medical practitioners and facilities
  • Liaison with next of kin to keep them informed

In addition to the general medical advice service, medical operators will guide a person through a
medical crisis situation involving you. You will receive emergency advice or have necessary support
organised, by utilising the 24-hour Contact Centre Doctor.

This service includes referrals to Crisis lines in case of:

  • Poison Hotline – In House
  • Suicide Hotline – Life Line
  • Rape and HIV Counselling
  • Family and Domestic Abuse
  • Child Abuse
  • Bereavement Counselling
  • Emergency medical response to the scene of an incident
  • Emergency medical transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility
  • Transfer of emergency medicine and blood

For the member's medical aid or own account:

  • Emergency medical response to the scene of an incident
  • Emergency medical transportation to the nearest appropriate medical facility
  • Transfer of emergency medicine and blood

Please note: Medical cover is only valid for emergencies within the borders of South Africa.


AMBULANCE EVACUATION

  • R 10, 000 MEDICAL EVACUATION (Cover the costs of ambulance)
  • In the event of the member’s involvement in a medical emergency, the call centre will arrange and coordinate the most appropriate method of emergency medical transportation. The member will be transported to the nearest medical facility capable of providing adequate care.

We offer an Ambulance Cover of up to R 10 000, 00 per client per annum.


BEREAVEMENT COVER BENEFIT

  • R 10 000.00 Cover for main member and spouse.
  • R 5 000.00 Cover per child. We cover up to 6 Members.

The last thing that a person should need to worry about after losing a loved one is the cost of the Bereavement to celebrate their life in a dignified manner. That is why we have developed an affordable Bereavement cover to cover you as the Main Member of our Rewards Programme, your Spouse and up to Four Children.

This provides R 10 000 Bereavment Cover to the Main Member of the Reward Programme and your Spouse and R 5 000 Bereavement cover per child on the policy with a maximum of four children. This will be paid directly into the nominated beneficiaries bank account should you or these dependents unfortunately pass away.

  • There are no medical tests or paperwork required and cover will commence after receipt of your first Rewards Subscription
  • and continue for as long as you pay your monthly uninterrupted Subscriptions.
  • There are no waiting periods on this policy and maximum entry age cannot exceed 65 years old.
